Return and Refund Policy

If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns.

Definitions and key terms

To help explain things as clearly as possible in this Return & Refund Policy, every time any of these terms are referenced, are strictly defined as:

  • Company: when this policy mentions “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to PlantWave, which is responsible for your information under this Return & Refund Policy.

  • Customer: refers to the company, organization or person that signs up to use the PlantWave Service to manage the relationships with your consumers or service users.

  • Device: any internet connected device such as a phone, tablet, computer or any other device that can be used to visit PlantWave and use the services.

  • Product: The item you purchased directly from our website. This includes PlantWave and all other available peripherals for purchase.

  • Website: "PlantWave's site" which can be accessed via this URL: https://www.plantwave.com

  • You/Your/Customer: a person or entity that is registered with PlantWave to use the Services.

Return & Refund Policy

We appreciate your desire to connect to nature in a deep and innovative way. We want to make sure you have a rewarding experience while you’re exploring, evaluating, and purchasing our products.

As with any shopping experience, there are terms and conditions that apply to transactions at PlantWave. We’ll be as brief as our attorneys will allow. The main thing to remember is that by placing an order or making a purchase at PlantWave, you agree to the terms set forth below along with Policy.

If there’s something wrong with the product you bought, or if you are not happy with it, whether the product is in pre-sale or in stock; you have 30 Days to request a refund and ship your product back to us.

Effective January 21, 2026, return shipping for domestic orders is provided at no cost to the customer. For international orders, customers are responsible for return shipping costs for non-defective products returned for refund. 

Refunds for elective (non-defective) returns apply to the purchase price of the PlantWave device only and do not include original shipping charges, duties and import taxes, or any additional fees.

If you would like to return a product, the only way would be if you follow the next guidelines:

  • PlantWave must be 100% original condition in original box with all cables & pads (1 USB-C, 1 Electrode clip, 1 Electrode lead, 1 Mushroom clip, 3 Electrode pads)

  • To start a refund or exchange, submit a request through your customer account, contact us at plantwave@datagarden.org, or use the chat feature on www.plantwave.com. Please follow all required steps to ensure your request is processed successfully.

    Cancellations

    You can cancel an order at any time before it is dispatched using the Cancel order link on our site (no account login required), through your customer account, or by emailing plantwave@datagarden.org. If your order has not yet shipped, we will cancel it and refund the full amount, including any shipping you paid, to your original payment method.

    Once an order has been dispatched and a tracking number assigned, we are not able to stop shipment. If you cancel after dispatch, we will treat your request as a return: refuse delivery or send the device back to us in its original condition, and we will refund you once it arrives. Follow the return instructions above to initiate.

    Customers in the EU/EEA — right of withdrawal: In addition to the rights above, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your PlantWave, without giving a reason. To withdraw, notify us using any of the methods above, or submit our withdrawal form directly, within those 14 days.  We will refund within 14 days of receiving the device back (or your proof of return). For a withdrawal, your refund includes the price of the device, the original standard delivery cost, and the duties and import taxes you paid us at checkout; it does not include any premium delivery upgrade. You are responsible for the cost of returning the device, which must be in its original condition with all included accessories. We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the device.

    Refunds

    We at PlantWave commit ourselves to serving our customers with the best products. Every single product that you choose is thoroughly inspected, checked for defects and packaged with utmost care. We do this to ensure that you fall in love with our products. 

    Order cancellations are eligible for a full refund up until your PlantWave ships. Once the tracking number has been assigned, we cannot issue a refund without receiving the PlantWave back to our warehouse. Refunds are not accepted past the 30-day window once the product is marked as delivered.

    We carry out thorough quality checks before processing the ordered item. We take utmost care while packing the product. We will review your returned product as soon as we receive it and if it follows the guidelines addressed above, we will proceed to issue a refund of your purchase. 

    Initial shipping costs, duties and import taxes and Corso Shipping Insurance are non-refundable. This does not limit the refund due to EU/EEA customers exercising their right of withdrawal (see Cancellations).

    All refunds are processed to their original payment method within 7-10 business days after receipt of the return. Most banks will release the funds within 3-5 business days. If the payment was made through PayPal, the refund will show up within 1 business day. If you do not see the refund within the appropriate time frame, you must contact us immediately so we can open an investigation with our payment processor. 

    Exchanges & Refunds: 

    Exchanges only apply to products that are defective. We do not accept exchanges for used products that are in working condition. Our warranty is one year from delivery date. 

    Exchanges are not permitted for devices that are in working condition. Only allowed for defective products and will be replaced at no charge under our one year warranty.

    Shipping

    We aim to get your PlantWave out the door within 1-2 business days, we just can’t wait to share the music with you! Our team processes orders Monday thru Friday, with the exception of US holidays. If your order is placed Friday after 1 pm CST, it will not process until the following Monday.

    Shipping time frames are based on business days only. Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. It can take 24-48 hours for the carrier to update your tracking information, so please keep this in mind if it doesn’t appear right away. If you have a concern regarding your shipment please reach out to us at plantwave@datagarden.org and we will do our best to help you out.

    PlantWave is not responsible for return shipping costs for any non-defective products being returned for a full refund on international orders. However, PlantWave will cover the shipping for any defective products for replacements or refunds. 

    If a defective PlantWave has to be returned or refunded from an international purchase from which we cannot provide a return shipping label, we ask that we are sent a receipt indicating shipping costs and we will reimburse via PayPal. 

    International Duties and Taxes

    We want to share PlantWave with everyone so for our international customers, transparent duties, taxes, and shipping options with delivery estimates are now listed at checkout. Duties and taxes will be calculated according to your country's regulations and are non refundable. This does not limit the refund due to EU/EEA customers exercising their right of withdrawal (see Cancellations).

    Missed Deliveries and Lost In Transit

    We have partnered with Corso, a package protection company to offer both protection for your PlantWave purchase and offset your order's shipping carbon. By selecting Corso at checkout, your order will be protected from damage, loss, or theft. You can easily file a claim with Corso and receive a replacement or be fully reimbursed by using the link in your confirmation email or reaching out to our team. 

    Data Garden is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. Please note if you do not select this protection, our team may not be able to provide replacements or reship your parcel without additional charges. 

    Gifts

    If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you. We will send the refund to the gift giver upon receiving the returned device.

    Your Consent

    By using our website/app, registering an account, or making a purchase, you hereby consent to our Return & Refund Policy and agree to its terms.

    Changes To Our Return & Refund Policy

    Should we update, amend or make any changes to this document so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, those changes will be prominently posted here. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Return & Refund Policy. If you do not want to agree to this or any updated Return & Refund Policy, you can delete your account.
